The International Admissions Office representatives took part in the educational fairs which were organized at the Ukrainian House in Kiev, Ukraine from April 16th to April 18th.
Collegium Da Vinci’s recruiting stand was part of a larger Eurostudent group, including Jagiellonian University from Cracow and two other higher educational institutions from Poland. CDV Team worked for three straight days at the Ukrainian House in the center of Kiev to promote its Polish degree programs and three programs in English: Information Technology, Internet Marketing and Urban Management. The interest among Ukrainian candidates was enormous and they were crowding to speak to us about possibilities of getting a degree in Poznań. During the Fairs in Kiev we spoke to at least couple of hundreds of people, received a stock of surveys with contact details from prospective students and met with high school students in five different locations spread throughout the Ukrainian capital.
CDV International Students Coordinator, Ms. Aliaksandra Balashova says: “We were very happy to have met so many people and given them an opportunity for a brighter future for their children’s education”. Ms. Balashova adds: “During the Fairs in Kiev, some candidates were already bringing us their applications filled out and documents to include them in this year’s recruitment process. It makes our efforts even more gratifying if we can see the results and help people on the spot”.
The educational fairs in Kiev was a large international event, with exhibitors from 28 countries, including the United States, Canada, Israel, United Arab Emirates and New Zealand. Collegium Da Vinci’s space was visited by His Excellency the Ambassador of Poland to Ukraine, Dr. Henryk Litwin, who in conversation with Marcin Witkowski said: “We encourage Polish Universities to be present at such events in Ukraine and suggest educational solutions for the Ukrainian candidates. The Polish Diplomatic Mission and consular offices are ready to help everybody willing to take advantage of the academic offer in Poland and explore Poland’s universities”.
